Peratallada

Situated some 17 kilometres (10 miles) from L’Estartit was declared a historic-artistic monument and is one of the most important centres in Empordá in respect of mediaeval architecture. Noteworthy are the fortified castle with its homage tower (Torre del Homenaje), the palace (XI-XIV AD), the walls (XII-XIII AD), and the church dedicated to Sant Esteve (Romanesque, from the early 13th century).
