At Punta Salina, situated in an area less protected from the north winds of the Costa Brava, you can enjoy a beautiful dive trip on the Costa de Montgrí (coast of Montgrì) with depths between 5 and 24 m. We start the dive at the buoy in east direction by following the wall at your right hand side. The bottom is a mixture of vertical walls full of gorgonians, massive rocks, and canyons that end on a sandy seabed in a depth of some 25 m. In this area one still can find a ship engine that ran aground here at the walls a long time ago. You do not have to go very deep to also find a chimney and a cave, both easily accessible. During the summer months – if we look closely – for experienced divers it is possible to spot sea horses within this zone. Nevertheless, also less experienced divers can explore an abundant marine life especially look out for octopus, scorpion fishes, sea breams, and goldline fishes.
